Post #7 - Reading and GRQ - Theater of the People

                                      

Starting with the ways things that were depicted in the early third century to the sixth century, from ideas to myths and legends of the gods. By using day-to-day things such as vases these things were put up for display as art that everyone could enjoy and have. With Plato's and Aristotle's teachings of idealism and their different perspective of life and how everything can be depicted and connected. Then the upcoming popularity of theater with Greek comedy and tragedy all kinds of stories and performances were brought to life. With each having its own way of portraying the joys of life and the tragedy of death people rose to the opportunity to attend these incredible spectacles, especially with the crazy but of the Epidauros theater. As time passed by things evolved and theater turned into opera, while still being able to portray different kinds of stories. Things were exaggerated and over displayed for people to enjoy the complexities of these stories. However, following this, the wanting for a more realistic approach to life in theater and opera was increasing as the centuries passed. The incredible changes that entertainment has gone through, throughout the centuries encompass the way in which society also evolves. I believe the cause of this is the way in which people strive to strive for a more relatable approach to entertaining nowadays than before when overexaggerated stories were shown.
